Sightless and visually impaired children are trained in the newly-opened specialized classes in the regions of Kazakhstan

Classes are annually equipped with sets of educational and artistic material in Braille in three languages

The "Discover the world" project is aimed at expanding the educational opportunities for sightless and visually impaired children in Kazakhstan, as well as their development and socialization in their hometown without leaving their families. At the moment, there are 10 classes and 1 group in a preschool educational organization in the cities of Nur-Sultan, Aktau, Aktobe, Kostanay, Ust-Kamenogorsk and Kokshetau.

The open specialized classes for visually impaired children are equipped with equipment for children with special vision, social guidance area, Montessori system equipment and all necessary teaching materials.

Children also participated in pottery, glynotherapy, a goalball section has been opened, and visually impaired children are able to participate in para-olympic sports in Nur Sultan, Aktau and Ust-Kamenogorsk.

In the summer of 2019, there was a unique experience of travelling visually impaired children together with parents to the summer camp «Daryn» in the East Kazakhstan region with methodical support of Moscow experts.
