Psychologists and coordinators have supported and collaborated with the Mentors project since the launch of the project

The "Mentors" project is a project for the socialization of teenagers from orphanages through a friendship with a mentor. Any Kazakhstani citizen over 25 years old who can be in a child's life for at least 2 years can be a mentor. This is not a sponsor, but a friend. The mentor shares his knowledge with a child from an orphanage, develops his or her independence skills, helps and supports using his life experience. For their wards, they become adult friends, who are able to listen and help them in difficult times, give them advice, guide them when choosing a future and motivate them to achieve their goals.

Geography of our projects

Since the launch of the Foundation's projects, 46 Psychological and Pedagogical Correction Rooms and 48 Resource Centers for Inclusive Education have been opened in the regions and regional centers of Kazakhstan. 15 cities are involved in the "Mentors" project, more than 200 teenagers from orphanages have found their mentors. In 6 cities of Kazakhstan, the "Opening the World" project is involved, where there are 15 specialized classes, as well as 1 group in a preschool educational organization for blind and visually impaired children.
