The “Universal design in education. Inclusion in Action” seminar, held with the support of our regular partner KPMG in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, has completed
We are glad that 6 principals from 6 schools from Aktobe, Almaty, and Taraz took part in the seminar. Many of them implement the practice of inclusive education today. Astana school teachers, many of whom will be teaching special children starting from September, were actively involved. For example, Aibek, a pupil of the fourth grade at the 68th school, is going to middle school this year, where he will have many teachers of different subjects. Already, we are preparing not only Aibek to this process, but also his future teachers.
How to work in a team, how to learn to adapt curricula and tasks, how to build a lesson, what to consider when there is a child with PLO in the classroom, what resources of the school we need to use, so that every child, including Aibek, successfully continues to learn. These and many other questions were asked and find solutions together with the invited trainer Olga Vladimirovna Yegupova.
We express our gratitude to Olga Vladimirovna, a practitioner with extensive experience in teaching teachers the practice of inclusive education and its implementation in schools in Moscow.
